Fostering A Rescue
Fosters provide love and care for the dogs but also assess temperament, behavior, and health. Additionally, all rescued Newfoundlands are brought up to date on core vaccinations, tested for heartworm, and spayed or neutered prior to being placed in their new home. Newfoundland Rescue of Florida (NRF) is also committed to providing care for any treatable illness or injury prior to rehoming the dog. Dogs stay in foster for two to three months depending on their needs.
Fosters get the “first right of refusal” when the dog is ready for adoption. If you are considering adopting a Newfoundland but want to get to know the breed better, fostering is the way to go.
If you are interested in fostering, please complete the Foster Application below. A coordinator will contact you soon to start the process.

Loose Change Appeal
Ours is a small, all volunteer organization that relies on the generous donations of our members and supporters to be able to afford the expenses associated with our rescue efforts. Please consider making a donation and remember even small amounts really do add up.
